Drivers with no truck or trailer still play a crucial role in trucking and transport. There are many units that are simply too big or tall to cost effectively load onto a trailer for transport. This is where the driveaway comes in, these drivers will fly, uber, catch a train, or hopefully book another unit to drive to their next assigned pickup. Once on site they assess the vehicle for roadworthiness, and then get behind the wheel to drive to assigned destination. This method saves a great amount of money on some units when compared to the cost and permits of a deck loading. 

Driveaway Moves are a HUGE part of this industry. Either being much cheaper to tow a roadworthy unit vs hauling on a trailer, or units that are too large and would be cost prohibitive to load on a deck.

Types of units good for driveaway moves include bumper pull trailers, 5th wheels large and small, and gooseneck ball hitches WITH an accompanying truck that also needs to be transported at the same time.  Please make sure your truck has the correct hitch and brake connection to pull your trailer, and is road worthy with no issues prior to the driver showing up for the transport.
